Puppetraining – turning the spotlight on training in puppetry arts
The Professional Training Commission of UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette) is pleased to present its new project: Spotlight on Puppetry Arts Training, which consists of:
Meetings to discover the main approaches to teaching the art of puppetry around the world.
Presentations and discussions with the heads of training institutions at the forefront of teaching the art of puppetry.
This series of monthly meetings, initially targeting institutions that are already structured with long-term training. The project will follow organizing meetings with institutions that are in the process of creating puppet training programs, and finally meetings with organizations offering short-term training.

Part 2: Questions and answers on the orientation and content of the courses
This project is aimed at anyone interested in studying the arts of puppetry as well as lecturers, trainers, postgraduates, and artists wishing to deepen their knowledge in the field.
Programming:
First four encounters of the series:
1) 21 October 2021 at 4 pm (French time)
ESNAM (National School of Puppetry Arts), Institute International de la Marionnette, Charleville-Mezieres, France
2)- November 2021
UCONN (University of Connecticut) Department of Puppetry Arts, Stores, USA
3)- December 2021
UNSAM (National University of San Martin, Argentina), Department of Performing Arts, -Puppet and Object program-.
4)- March 2022:
Spotlight on the new training programs currently being created in Africa, India, and Italy.
The meetings will take place on ZOOM.
